Goathland is no ordinary village in the middle of nowhere, itís a pretty famous village in the middle of nowhere.

For many years Goathland was an ordinary Yorkshire village in the middle of nowhere with sheep wandering round it, and a station that was a stop-off along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Then during the 1990ís, ITV started filming a TV drama series there called HEARTBEAT, and thus the village came to be known for being the village of AIDENSFIELD in the series from the series of CONSTABLE books.

A bit later on, the Railway station came to be used in the first couple of HARRY POTTER films as HOGSMEADE STATION.
